Sankranthi Uthsavam

Sankranthi also referred to as “Makara Sankramanam” refers to positive change occuring as Sun moves into Makara rashi (Capricorn) on its celestial path, and the six-month Utharayana period.  Culturally it’s a significant festival for all of us as we start witnessing longer days and turning away from longer nights.

Due to pandemic winter we had to alter our lifestyles to stay indoors for the most part. We like to take this festival a reason to come out of Winter blues and rejuvenate ourselves participating in fun activities.

Uthsavam Contest

We are planning to conduct two fun contests for adults and for kids –

1) Sankranthi Muggulu (or) Sankranthi Decoration contest for Adults

2) Sankranthi crafts (Paper/Kite) Or Painting(Sankranthi Spirit) contest for Kids

 We have exciting Prizes for Adults & Kids uploading their creative best !!!!!!!

We create for different categories where you/your kids can participate by age groups.

Group # 1 – Adults

Group # 2 – Kids Age Group (4y to 7y old)

Group # 3 – Kids Age Group (8y to 11y old)

Group # 4 – Kids Age Group (12y-16y old)

 Each of the above groups will have 6 winners.

1st Prize – $100 gift for one contestant

2nd Prize -$50 gift for two contestants

3rd Prize – $25 gift for four contestants
